Shasta Literacy is a California Library Literacy Services grant program and has been in operation in Shasta County since 1983. Our goal is to end the cycle of illiteracy in Shasta County. Our program is learner-centered and goal driven. Our volunteer tutors are guides and mentors to help the adult learners gain the skills they need to accomplish their unique goals.
We have tutors and classes at all 3 branches of the Shasta Public Libraries system: Redding, Burney, and Anderson.
