Since 1956, The Shasta Public Libraries has been a United States Federal Depository and has the largest federal document collection in Shasta County that is available to the public. These documents provide a current and historical record of the workings of the Federal government, Federal statute, code and regulation materials, statistical data, information on topics of interest to the general public, local government agencies, and businesses.
